An Update From the Bridge Community Garden

Dan Bradford continues to lead the garden program at The Bridge of Northeast Florida. He is doing a wonderful job and everyone is grateful for the time he shares with the students. We checked in with The Bridge to hear what they have been up to, and they gave us this update:

With the help of youth campers from Passport, Inc.,  we were able to lay mulch in the citrus area of the garden in June.  The garden class, led by Dan Bradford, will plant fall tomatoes, which typically do better than spring and summer tomatoes.  The students will also plant quite a bit of cabbage and lettuce. We are hopeful that the potatoes and sweet potatoes will be ready to harvest soon.  The garlic we planted during summer camp should be ready to harvest soon as well!"
