2014 National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference

Agriculture plays an important part in all our daily lives; however, many don't know the story of agriculture - from field and farm to home and table. Through exciting, engaging, and interactive workshops, you will learn not only the story of agriculture, but also how to incorporate it into all aspects of your curriculum. As stories are told not only with words, but also with pictures, interesting and unique tours will take you behind the scenes of various aspects of Pennsylvania’s multitude of agricultural commodities. These personal experiences will give you great insight to take back to your classroom.

Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC) provides educators a wealth of resources for integrating agriculture, nutrition and natural resource education into the K-12 curriculum. AITC programs improve student achievement by utilizing innovative, hands-on relatable lessons that intrigue students while teaching core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, language arts, math and nutrition.
