2012 Jacksonville Seed Swap & Community Garden Expo

The 2012 Jacksonville Seed Swap & Community Garden Expo has been cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment.

Seed Swap Participants

This venue allows gardeners from around the region to gather to share seeds, starts, cuttings or bulbs with others. This is a well used method for gardeners to increase their gardens for no cost. It also enables cultivators of heirloom varieties a method of dispersing those materials to a wider audience, sustaining the bio-diversity of our locally successful species and cultivars. Don't miss out!

Arranged swapping is usually carried on as a HAVE and WANT sort of post in such a thread. Even if you are not successful in fulfilling your wish list, please join us to engage in the plant and seed swap on an ad hoc basis. Area gardening enthusiasts are encouraged to bring cuttings, bulbs, starts and seeds that are clearly identified.

Please utilize this thread on gardenweb's seed exchange message board: http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/exseed/msg0215043214046.html to arrange ahead of time with other area gardeners for swapping materials at the Expo.

Online Exhibitor Registration

Exhibitors can now register online here2012 JSSCGE Registration Form

This exhibition allows the public to learn more about community gardens and the organizing groups who make them possible in our area. We, as a community, have done a volume of work in the past year to educate the public about the importance of community gardens to all age groups and all social groups – yet we have a long way to go. This is an opportunity for Community Gardens to strengthen their bonds to their immediate and larger community.
