How to Become a Contributor for this Site

Friends of Northeast Florida Community Gardens wants to share information with our readers about all of the community gardens and organizing groups in our area.

To submit a story, just submit a print ready email in html format to editor@fnfcg.org. The perfect piece will be 3-5 paragraphs long and will include pictures.

What are we looking for in a Contributor?
  • Community Gardens - we'd like to have an organizational presence from each of the Community Gardens in Northeast Florida to provide information on that Garden and answer questions from the public or from other contributors.
  • Master Gardeners - there are so many wonderful Master Gardeners in Northeast Florida with such a wealth of information and offering such incredible services. We'd love to see you chime in on this site.
  • Subject Matter Experts - don't be shy. I think most community gardeners consider themselves to be newbies and are hungry for education and information. Specifically, information for our part of the country. We are caught between tropical gardening and most of the rest of the country and as a result, we are largely forgotten in the bulk of the gardening advice on the net.
  • Gardening Groups - Gardening Groups do a lot of organizing and education that community gardeners utilize. Here is another way to connect with this community.
  • Regional Resources - The Duval County Extension Office, the Society of St. Andrews Gleaning Society, Eat Your Yard Jax, etc. If you are a resource for local gardeners, we'd love to have your input. We are trying to make it easy for you to reach your audience with this site.
